Estimate maximal strength
1 Rep Max Calculator
Turn a challenging set of 1–10 reps into a practical estimated one-rep maximum and training loads.
Estimated 1 Rep Max
Estimate using the Epley formula. Actual maximal strength varies with exercise, technique, fatigue, and proximity to failure.

What an estimated 1RM means
A one-rep maximum is the most weight you can lift once with the required technique. A submaximal estimate avoids routine maximal testing but remains an approximation.
Why FitCalc supports 1–10 reps
Prediction uncertainty generally grows as sets move farther from a true maximum. FitCalc does not extrapolate sets above 10 repetitions.
Exercise context
The exercise selection labels your result; it does not apply unsupported exercise-specific coefficients. Rep capacity can differ by lift and athlete.
